Cathy Williams

Cathy Williams is a British romance novelist, born in Trinidad in the West Indies, who has written contemporary romances for Mills & Boon since 1990.

Her publisher's biography says she had no writing experience before she began writing romance. Her first novel, A Powerful Attraction, appeared in 1990, and the bibliography on her Wikipedia page lists more than 80 single novels up to The Forbidden Cabrera Brother (2020), together with the Italian Titans books (2015 and 2016), A Reluctant Wife (1998) in the Bachelor Tycoons line, and many omnibus volumes shared with other Mills & Boon authors between 2000 and 2007. Open Library lists more than 900 works under her name, many of them translations and reissues. She draws inspiration from Trinidad and from the English countryside; her publisher's biography places her home in Warwickshire with her husband and three children, although her Wikipedia entry names Chiswick in London.

For collectors

Her books have been reissued many times, in omnibus volumes and in translation, so the 1990 first printing of A Powerful Attraction, her debut, is the clearest single landmark for collectors. Her publisher describes her as a firm believer in perseverance.
