About Lynsay Sands

Lynsay Sands is a Canadian author of historical and paranormal romance, born in Leamington, Ontario, and best known for the Argeneau novels about a modern family of vampires.

Her first novel, The Deed, was published in 1997. Her early books came from Dorchester Publishing; she has also published with Kensington and, from 2005, with HarperCollins under its Avon imprint. The Argeneau series began with A Quick Bite in September 2003, followed by Love Bites in January 2004 and Single White Vampire in July 2004, and grew into her signature series. Alongside it she has written historical romances set in Scotland, including the Devil of the Highlands books (2009 to 2010) and the Highland Brides series (2013 to 2024), as well as further series listed on her website such as the Deed, Key and Chase, Madison Sisters, MacNachton Vampires and Shape Shifters books. Open Library credits her with more than 80 books and notes the humour that runs through her stories. Her novels have appeared on The New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists. She has been nominated for Romantic Times awards for historical and paranormal romance, placed three times in the RIO awards and won a P.E.A.R.L. award in 2000 for the paranormal anthology Mistletoe and Magic.

For collectors

The opening Argeneau books, A Quick Bite (September 2003), Love Bites (January 2004) and Single White Vampire (July 2004), were all first published by Dorchester, so those printings are the originals; her debut, The Deed (1997), is her earliest book.
