Sandra Marton

Sandra Marton is the pen name of an American romance novelist from Connecticut who has written well over sixty category romances, many of them for the Harlequin Presents line.

Her Google Play author note says she wrote her first story at seven, and Open Library's biography says her first sale was to Harlequin Presents. Wikipedia dates her career to 1985 and lists Rapture in the Sands as her first single title, while Open Library's earliest records are Game of Deceit (1986), Lovescenes (1987), and A Flood of Sweet Fire and Deal with the Devil (1988). She has written several linked series, among them The Barons, The O'Connells, Knight Brothers and The Orsini Brothers, and from 2012 she also self-published.

She has been a RITA Award finalist four times. Her biographies credit her with Romantic Times awards for Best Harlequin Presents of the Year (six in one version, eight in a later one), the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award for Series Romance and the Holt Medallion. She lives in Connecticut with her husband.

For collectors. Her novels were paperback originals in numbered category lines, and her books have appeared in more than twenty languages, so many titles exist in several editions. Records differ on the date of her first book, so the copyright page of each copy is the safest guide to which printing it is.
