Catherine Hart

Catherine Hart is an American author of historical romance novels from Ohio, whose books have appeared since 1984 and include Silken Savage (1985) and Summer Storm (1987).

Born and raised in Ohio, where she still lives, Hart has written sixteen historical romances and two novellas. Her early titles include Fire and Ice (1984), Silken Savage (1985), Ashes and Ecstasy (1985), Summer Storm (1987) and Sweet Fury (1990). Later books include Tempest (1991, with Diane Tidd), Temptation (1992), Splendor (1993) and Charmed (1996). Other titles credited to her include Satin and Steel, Night Flame, Forever Gold, Fallen Angel, Dazzled and Irresistible.

Her honours include the Romantic Times Storyteller of the Year award and a Lifetime Achievement Award for Western Romance. She has given the profits from one of her novellas to adult literacy causes, and her listed interests include Native American crafts and culture.
