Julie Anne Long

Julie Anne Long is a USA Today bestselling romance novelist based in Northern California, best known for her Pennyroyal Green series, which began with Avon Books.

Before turning to fiction she spent eight years as a guitarist, including in San Francisco bands. Her first novel, The Runaway Duke, was published by Warner Forever in New York in 2004, followed by To Love a Thief (2005) and the Holt Sisters trilogy: Beauty and the Spy (2006), Ways to Be Wicked (2006) and The Secret to Seduction (2007).

She moved to Avon Books with The Perils of Pleasure (2008), the first of thirteen Pennyroyal Green books, which include Like No Other Lover, I Kissed an Earl, What I Did for a Duke, How the Marquess Was Won and The Legend of Lyon Redmond. She has since written the contemporary Hellcat Canyon series and the Palace of Rogues series, which opened with Lady Derring Takes a Lover. She is a winner of the RITA Award for romance fiction, and her books have appeared on NPR's and Parade magazine's lists of the best romances of all time.
