Kathryn Ross

Kathryn Ross (born 1966) is a British romance novelist, born in Africa and living in Lancashire, who has written more than 30 novels for Mills & Boon since 1989.

Her Goodreads author note describes her as a professional beauty therapist, though writing was always her first love. At thirteen she edited her school magazine and won a competition with a play she had written. About ten years later Mills & Boon accepted her work; she has said they were the only publisher she ever approached. She is married with two stepsons, and Wikipedia says her books have been translated into about 20 languages.

Her first novel, Designed with Love, is dated 1989 by Wikipedia, though Open Library records a Mills & Boon edition from 1988. It was followed by No Regrets (1990), Playing by the Rules (1991), By Love Alone (1992), Total Possession (1993), Whisper of Scandal, Divided by Love and Scent of Betrayal (1994) and Ruthless Contract (1995). Later titles include The Greek Tycoon's Innocent Mistress (2007), part of the An Innocent in His Bed series for Harlequin Presents.

For collectors. Her early novels were published in paperback by Mills & Boon in London, with Harlequin editions for North America and later large print reissues from Ulverscroft and Magna. Given the disagreement over the date of her first book, the imprint and date on a copy's copyright page are the best evidence of an early printing.
