Lora Leigh

Lora Leigh (born 1965) is an American author of erotic romance, best known for the Breeds, her longest-running series.

She was born on 6 March 1965 in Ohio and raised in Martin County, Kentucky. She began publishing with the electronic publisher Ellora's Cave, which issued her first Breeds title, Tempting the Beast (2003), along with the opening books of other series such as Marly's Choice (Men of August) and Ties That Bind (Bound Hearts). In 2006 the Breeds novella The Breed Next Door appeared in Berkley's anthology Hot Spell, and Berkley also published her Nauti Boys and Nauti Girls books.

At St. Martin's Press she wrote the SEALs series, which opened with Reno's Chance in 2005, followed by the Elite Ops novels from Wild Card (2008) to Live Wire (2011), and the Bound Hearts novel Forbidden Pleasure (2007), as well as the Men of Summer, Brute Force and Callahans series. She is a New York Times bestselling author and won the 2009 RT Award for erotica.

For collectors. Her earliest books are the Ellora's Cave editions of 2002 to 2004, which Open Library records for Tempting the Beast, Ties That Bind, Marly's Choice, Law and Disorder and Primal Heat. The Romance Wiki dates an earlier story, "Wolf's Hope", to Ellora's Cave in 2002 and lists it in the Ellora's Cave Primal Heat (May 2004); Open Library also records a Berkley edition of Primal Heat.
