Sharon Kendrick

Sharon Kendrick (née Wirdnam) is a British romance novelist, born in London, who has written over 100 novels for Mills & Boon, first under her maiden name and since 1993 as Sharon Kendrick.

Before writing she worked as a waitress, cook, photographer and nurse, and drove an ambulance across the Australian desert. Her first novel, Nurse in the Outback, was published in 1988 under the name Sharon Wirdnam, and she wrote several more books under that name, including To Break a Doctor's Heart (1989) and Medical Liaison (1990). From 1993 she published as Sharon Kendrick, in the Mills & Boon Romance and Modern Romance lines in Britain and as Harlequin Presents in North America. Her books include the Desert Princes series and contributions to multi-author series. She lives and works in Winchester.

For collectors

Her early Sharon Wirdnam novels of 1988 to 1992, beginning with Nurse in the Outback, are a separate strand of her work published under her maiden name, so collectors need to search under both names.
