Clipper Large Print books are large-print editions of titles first published by other houses, so a Clipper copy is not the first edition of the text. The first edition is the trade edition from the original publisher, which library records for Clipper copies name (for example "Originally published: Macmillan" on the Clipper edition of C. J. Sansom's Dissolution).
