Published by Scholastic Press on 1 September 2009 with a first printing of 350,000; jacket by Tim O'Brien. The copyright page carries a first edition statement and a number line; a first printing includes the 1. Later printings keep the same statement, so check the number line (ninth, eleventh and twenty-first printings are offered). UNVERIFIED: the statement reads First edition, September 2009 (one dealer). No book club issue was documented.
