Identification

How to identify this edition

The novel first appeared as a Berkley paperback original in New York in February 1967. The first edition published in Britain is the Sphere paperback of June 1968, 160 pages, with cover art by David Davies; it predates ISBNs. Later British editions include a White Lion hardback and a Coronet paperback, both of 1977, then Severn House (1989) and Grafton (1990). The White Lion book is the first hardback listed in the bibliographies but it is not the first UK edition.
