In short

Quick answer

Who published The Circle 2013 hardback?
Hamish Hamilton, London, in 2013, in hardback.
What decides the price
  • It is the first UK edition; the true first was published elsewhere.
  • The original dust jacket carries much of the price for a book of this age; its condition matters as much as the book's.
  • Condition is graded separately for book and jacket, from Fine down to Poor.

Identification

How to identify this edition

The British first edition is the Hamish Hamilton hardback, London, 2013, 491 pages, ISBN 978-0-241-14648-4. The American first from Knopf and McSweeney's (ISBN 978-0-385-35139-3, 504 pages) is a separate edition, and some sellers mislabel one as the other, so check the publisher and ISBN. The Penguin paperback (978-0-241-14650-7) followed on 24 April 2014. No bibliographic description of the British jacket, printed price or copyright page was found.
