About Coronet

Coronet is an imprint of Hodder & Stoughton, launched in 1966 as the firm's paperback line, closed in 2004 and relaunched in 2010 for fiction and non-fiction in hardback and paperback.

For almost four decades Coronet issued paperback editions of popular fiction and non-fiction, many of them first published in hardback elsewhere. Its list included P. G. Wodehouse's Jeeves and Blandings stories, James Bond novels by Ian Fleming and the continuation writers John Gardner and Raymond Benson, Jeffrey Archer's Kane and Abel (1981), Mary Stewart's Merlin trilogy (1983) and books by Ken Follett, R. F. Delderfield, Erich Segal, David Niven, Fay Weldon and Lawrence Sanders.

The imprint stopped publishing in 2004. Hodder revived the name in 2010, and early titles of the new Coronet included Chris Ryan's The Kill Zone and Lorna Byrne's Stairways to Heaven; later authors include Graham Norton. In 2020 two non-fiction imprints joined Coronet: Crimson, which publishes self-improvement books, and White Ladder, which covers parenting, family and health. Hodder & Stoughton is part of Hachette UK.
