About Mosby
Mosby is an American medical, nursing and dental publisher, incorporated in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1906 as the C.V. Mosby Company and now an imprint of Elsevier.
The firm stayed independent until 1967, when the media group Times Mirror bought it. Under Times Mirror it published medical textbooks for college courses and reference works, and in 1989 it was merged with Year Book Medical Publishers, Wolfe Publishing and PSG Publishing. Times Mirror's ownership ended in 1998, when Harcourt General acquired Mosby, and when Reed Elsevier bought the company in 2001 it became an Elsevier imprint. Its headquarters are in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
