About Voyager
Voyager is the science fiction and fantasy imprint of HarperCollins in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, and since 2011 its name has also covered the company's worldwide genre list, Harper Voyager.
HarperCollins's British science fiction and fantasy list inherited the genre backlist that Collins had built up through Grafton Books and its predecessors Granada and Panther. Authors published under the Voyager name include Philip K. Dick (in reissues), David Zindell, Janny Wurts, Naomi Novik and K. E. Mills. Jane Johnson, who edited the J. R. R. Tolkien list at George Allen & Unwin from 1984 to 1992, is a HarperCollins publishing director working across the Voyager fantasy and science fiction list.
In September 2010, at the Aussiecon 4 convention in Melbourne, HarperCollins announced that its American genre imprint Eos would take the Harper Voyager name from 1 January 2011, giving its science fiction programme one name across markets and helping it acquire world English-language rights. A notable Voyager first is Peter V. Brett's The Painted Man, published in the UK in September 2008 and issued in America by Del Rey in March 2009 as The Warded Man.
We have not yet written the guide to Voyager's first-edition conventions. Until we do, check each book's own page: we list its points where we know them. Know how Voyager marked its firsts? Tell us.
