Helen Bianchin books in order

Helen Bianchin (born 1939) is a New Zealand-born Australian romance novelist who wrote more than 55 novels for Mills & Boon between 1975 and 2020. She was born in New Zealand on 20 February 1939.

She worked as a legal secretary in New Zealand before spending about two years working and travelling in Australia. In North Queensland she met the Italian-born Danilo Bianchin, whom she married; they have three children. Her first novel drew on that experience, with an Italian hero who farmed tobacco, and it appeared as The Willing Heart in 1975. In North America her early titles were issued in the Harlequin Romance line, beginning with Bewildered Haven (number 2010, October 1976), and most of her later books in Harlequin Presents. The family has lived in Australia since 1981. The University of Birmingham's Romance Wiki lists 49 of her titles in the Harlequin Romance and Presents lines.

For collectors, her books were published by Mills & Boon in Britain and in Harlequin's lines in North America, so both imprints should be checked when identifying a first printing. Her 1970s titles, starting with The Willing Heart (1975), are her earliest work.
