Lori Foster

Lori Foster (born 14 November 1958) is an American romance novelist and New York Times bestselling author who has published more than 50 books since her debut, Impetuous, in 1996.

Foster decided to write after she began reading romance as an adult, and she spent about five years writing before Impetuous appeared as Harlequin Temptation no. 572 in January 1996. She wrote 16 novels and a novella for the Temptation line, among them the linked novels Sawyer, Morgan, Gabe and Jordan (all 2000), and has also published with Silhouette, Berkley and Jove, Kensington and St. Martin's Press. From 2002 she wrote for Kensington's Brava imprint, beginning with Too Much Temptation and Never Too Much (both 2002), and contributed novellas to many anthologies, including I Brake for Bad Boys (2002) and Star Quality (2005). Her work spans contemporary romance, romantic suspense and, under the name L. L. Foster, urban fantasy. She has often released six to ten books a year.

She has received two Romantic Times Career Achievement Awards, in 2001 for series romantic fantasy and in 2005 for contemporary romance, and has appeared on the USA Today, Publishers Weekly and New York Times bestseller lists. Recent series on her website include Firefly Summer, set in a Kentucky lakeside town.

For collectors. Impetuous (Harlequin Temptation, January 1996) is her first book, and her early Temptation paperbacks of 1996 to 2003 are the titles that completists of her work look for first.
