Robyn Donald books in order

Robyn Donald (born 14 August 1940) is a New Zealand romance novelist who has written more than 85 novels for Mills & Boon since her first, Bride at Whangatapu, appeared in 1977.

Born Robyn Elaine Donald in Warkworth, New Zealand, she trained and worked as a teacher before turning to fiction. Her books have been reissued by Harlequin and translated into 25 languages.

Bride at Whangatapu was published by Mills & Boon in 1977. Her early novels also appeared in the numbered Harlequin Romance line, including Bay of Stars (number 2391, March 1981) and Iceberg (number 2437, November 1981). Her fiftieth novel, The Mirror Bride, came out in 1996. With fellow New Zealand novelist Daphne Clair she wrote Writing Romantic Fiction (1999) and co-leads a workshop with Clair for aspiring romance writers.

Her debut, Bride at Whangatapu (Mills & Boon, 1977), is the obvious first edition to seek. Her early titles were also issued in the numbered Harlequin Romance line, and the series number identifies those editions.
