A prequel to Legends & Lattes. In the United States Tor Books issued it first as a trade paperback and ebook in November 2023, with cover art by Carson Lowmiller. In Britain it was published under the Tor imprint of Pan Macmillan on 9 November 2023, with the hardback (ISBN 978 1 0350 0735 6) as the lead format; the publisher lists paperback, ebook and audiobook formats separately. The British hardback is therefore the first British edition. Check the copyright page for a number line that still includes 1, which marks a first printing.
