Identification

How to identify this edition

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck, book 8 in the series, was first published on 5 November 2013 by Amulet Books (Abrams) in the United States; the Amulet hardback, ISBN 9781419711329, is the true first. Puffin published it in Britain the same month as a hardback, ISBN 9780141350677, which is the UK first. Wikipedia reports first printings of 5.5 million copies in the US and 800,000 in the UK, so UK first printings are plentiful and of modest value. Later UK issues are not firsts, for example the Puffin paperback of 29 January 2015, ISBN 9780141355481, priced £7.99.
