Joseph and His Brothers is Thomas Mann's four-part retelling of the Genesis story of Jacob and Joseph, begun in German with The Stories of Jacob from S. Fischer in Berlin in 1933. Later volumes followed in Berlin, Vienna and, in exile, Stockholm in 1943.
