Rage was first published in the United States in September 1977 as a Signet paperback original under the pen name Richard Bachman. The first British edition is the New English Library paperback of February 1983, ISBN 0450053792 (9780450053795), 224 pages, still credited to Bachman. No stand-alone British hardback was issued; the novel was later collected in The Bachman Books. King later let Rage go out of print, so the separate paperbacks are sought after. Look for the New English Library imprint and 1983 on the copyright page; later printings should state a later date.
