Shards of Honor is a science fiction novel by Lois McMaster Bujold, issued as a Baen Books paperback in New York in June 1986. The first full-length Vorkosigan Saga novel in publication order, it tells how survey captain Cordelia Naismith meets Aral Vorkosigan of the militaristic world Barrayar.
