White Death, the fourth NUMA Files novel by Clive Cussler with Paul Kemprecos, was first published in New York by G. P. Putnam's Sons in 2003 (hardback, ISBN 0399150412). The first British edition is Michael Joseph's, London, 2003, ISBN 9780718144739 (0718144732). The British Library and other UK library records catalogue it as a paperback, and bookseller listings agree, so it is a softcover rather than a hardback. Later British issues are not firsts: the Penguin mass-market paperback of 2004 (0140297375) and the Penguin reissue of 2013 (9781405916257). A large print edition from Thorndike and Chivers (Bath, 2003) is also a later issue.
