About Gallery Books

Gallery Books is a New York imprint of Simon & Schuster, created in 2009, known for women's fiction, pop culture and entertainment titles.

Simon & Schuster announced Gallery in autumn 2009, combining the hardcover and trade paperback lines of Pocket Books with Simon Spotlight Entertainment, while Pocket returned to mass market paperbacks. Its first books were scheduled for spring 2010. Louise Burke, who had run Pocket Books since 2001, was its first executive vice president and publisher, with Jen Bergstrom as vice president and editor-in-chief. During Burke's time the group launched or built up Scout Press, Threshold Editions and Jeter Publishing; when she retired in August 2017, Bergstrom became senior vice president and publisher of the Gallery Books Group.

Gallery is now the flagship of the Gallery Publishing Group, which also includes Pocket Books, Scout Press (launched in 2015 with Ruth Ware's debut novel), Gallery 13, Saga Press and MTV Entertainment Books. Authors associated with the group include Stephen King, Ruth Ware, Anna Todd, Amy Schumer, Tiffany Haddish and Britney Spears.

We have not yet written the guide to Gallery Books's first-edition conventions. Until we do, check each book's own page: we list its points where we know them. Know how Gallery Books marked its firsts? Tell us.
