About Dune
The Dune series is Frank Herbert's sequence of six science fiction novels, published between 1965 and 1985. Dune began as two serials in Analog, Dune World (1963 to 1964) and The Prophet of Dune (1965), and was then published as a book by Chilton Books in 1965 after more than twenty other publishers had turned it down. Dune Messiah was serialised in Galaxy and published by Putnam in 1969, followed by Children of Dune (1976), God Emperor of Dune (1981), Heretics of Dune (1984) and Chapterhouse: Dune (1985).
