About Atria/Emily Bestler Books
Emily Bestler Books is a fiction and non-fiction imprint of Atria Books, part of Simon & Schuster in New York, launched in spring 2011 and named after its editor-in-chief, Emily Bestler.
Atria was launched in 2002 and now heads the Atria Publishing Group, based in Simon & Schuster's Rockefeller Center building, whose authors include Jodi Picoult, Jennifer Weiner, Isabel Allende and Fredrik Backman. Bestler had been at Simon & Schuster for sixteen years and was Atria's executive editorial director, working with writers such as Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, John Connolly, Jodi Picoult, Diane Setterfield, Sister Souljah and Liza Marklund, when the company gave her an imprint of her own. With the launch she became senior vice president, with a planned list of 10 to 15 titles a year and Atria's existing staff handling publishing, subsidiary rights and publicity.
The imprint is still listed among those of the Atria Publishing Group within Simon & Schuster.
