- Tyndale copyright pages carry two rows of numbers below "Printed in the United States of America": one counts printings and the other gives the last two digits of the year of printing. The lowest number left on each row identifies the printing and its year, so a first printing keeps the 1 on the printing row whatever the copyright date says.

About Tyndale House
Tyndale House Publishers is an American Christian publisher founded in 1962 by Kenneth N. Taylor and now based in Carol Stream, Illinois, best known for the Living Bible, the New Living Translation and the Left Behind novels.
Taylor, who worked at Moody Press in Chicago, could not find a publisher for Living Letters, his paraphrase of the New Testament epistles, so he issued it himself in 1962 with a loan, naming the firm after the English Bible translator William Tyndale. Sales were slow until Billy Graham offered the book to his television audience in 1963. Living Prophecies (1965) and The Living New Testament (1967) followed, and the complete Living Bible appeared in 1971; it went on to sell more than 40 million copies in North America.
In 1996 Tyndale published the New Living Translation, a fresh translation by a team of about 90 Hebrew and Greek scholars, revised in 2004 and 2015. Its copyright belongs to the Tyndale House Foundation, which receives a share of the profits for charitable grants.
In fiction Tyndale published Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins's Left Behind series from 1995 to 2007; several later volumes reached number one on the New York Times list, and the series had sold over 65 million copies by 2016. Tony Dungy's Quiet Strength (2007) was a number one hardback non-fiction bestseller.
Taylor's son Mark D. Taylor succeeded him as head of the firm, and Scott Mathews became chief executive in 2021, the year Tyndale bought Hendrickson Publishers and Rose Publishing.
