About Wheeler Pub
Wheeler Publishing (catalogued here as "Wheeler Pub") is an American large-print imprint owned by Gale, the reference and library publisher that is part of Cengage; its recent editions carry a Waterville, Maine imprint.
Wheeler reissues popular fiction in large type. A typical example is the 2013 large-print hardback of Alice McDermott's novel Someone, published at Waterville, Maine. Gale also owns the large-print publishers Thorndike Press and Christian Large Print, and Gale itself has been a division of Cengage since 2007.
Open Library's records for Wheeler list mainly fiction, especially mystery, crime and adventure stories, with "large type books" among the leading subjects.
For collectors this matters: the Wheeler editions listed on MyVolumes, such as large-print copies of 1990s and 2000s bestsellers, are later large-print editions, not the first trade editions issued by the original publishers.
