About Dr Siri Paiboun series
The Dr Siri Paiboun series is a sequence of 15 crime novels by the British writer Colin Cotterill about an elderly doctor made state coroner of Laos in 1976, after the communists take power. It opened with The Coroner's Lunch, published by Soho Press in New York in December 2004, and the 15th book, The Delightful Life of a Suicide Pilot, appeared in 2020. Soho Press (later Soho Crime) issued most of the books in New York, while Quercus in London published UK editions from The Merry Misogynist (2009) and is named for Slash and Burn and The Woman Who Wouldn't Die. Cotterill won the CWA Dagger in the Library in 2009 for the series.
