About Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries
The Lord Peter Wimsey mysteries are Dorothy L. Sayers's detective novels and short stories about Lord Peter Wimsey, an aristocratic amateur investigator, with the stories set in the years between the First and Second World Wars. There are eleven novels, from Whose Body? (1923), first published by T. Fisher Unwin in Britain and Boni & Liveright in the United States, to Busman's Honeymoon (1937). Sayers also wrote Wimsey short stories, gathered in collections such as Lord Peter Views the Body (1928). Jill Paton Walsh later wrote four continuation novels, the first being Thrones, Dominations (1998), which she finished from a manuscript Sayers left incomplete.
