About The Chronicles of Amber
The Chronicles of Amber is a ten-novel fantasy series by the American author Roger Zelazny. It falls into two five-book cycles: the Corwin cycle (1970 to 1978) and the Merlin cycle (1985 to 1991), the latter following Corwin's son. Nine Princes in Amber was first published in hardback by Doubleday in June 1970, and Trumps of Doom, which opened the Merlin cycle, was published by Arbor House in May 1985. Zelazny later wrote five Amber short stories, collected in Manna from Heaven (2003), and John Gregory Betancourt added a four-book prequel series, The Dawn of Amber, from 2002.
