The UK first is the Chatto & Windus hardback of 2000, ISBN 0701167181 (9780701167189), 307 pages; ISFDB dates it October 2000, the same month as the Knopf first in New York (17 October 2000, ISBN 0679454489). Check for the Chatto imprint and the 0-7011 ISBN prefix on the copyright page and jacket; a Knopf imprint or the 0-679 prefix means the American edition.
